Ambiente Frankfurt is just around the corner: from 9 Feb. 2018 to 13 Feb. 2018, the international consumer goods fair Ambiente will once again be presenting trends in interior design and dining. But what about counterfeit products especially among consumer goods?

From the dog leash to the nutcracker: product piracy is booming like never before and is accelerated even more by the worldwide online trading. In order to denounce particularly good or bold product counterfeits, the German association “Aktion Plagiarius e. V.” has for many years been awarding the so-called Plagiarius Trophy. The figure is a black dwarf with a golden nose.
In 2017, the “Plagiarius” was awarded for the 41st time at the Frankfurt consumer goods fair “Ambiente”. We summarize the 10 best counterfeit products who received 2017 the negative award.
